When they're not teaching the arts to low-income students, they are hosting some of the best up-and-coming acts before they reach NYC. This summer, some heavy-hitting performers are testing out their latest works at the venue, allowing for a rare look into these visionaries' creative process.

“Memoirs of a Forgotten Man,” performed at Shadowland Stages, is based on a real case study of a Soviet reporter with perfect recall.


"Companion Piece" Opens at Denizen Theatre June 5

On June 5, Kevin Armento’s bold new play, “Companion Piece,” will have its regional premiere at Denizen Theatre, the cutting-edge new black box theater in New Paltz, NY.


New Genesis Productions Gears Up the 2019 Season of Youth Theater

This summer, for the 17th year running, New Genesis Productions in Shokan will bring youth theater training to Hudson Valley kids and teens. Each two-week Shakespeare Intensive culminates in the public staging of a play. This summer featured plays are “As You Like It” (ages 7-10), “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (ages 11-13), and Romeo and Juliet (ages 14-17).
